Exciting news for Indian travelers: The Philippines has officially introduced visa-free entry options for Indian passport holders, making it easier than ever to explore this Southeast Asian paradise. Effective May 2025, Indian tourists can now enjoy streamlined travel under two new visa-free schemes, depending on their eligibility.

14-Day Visa-Free Entry

Indian nationals can now enter the Philippines without a visa for up to 14 days, exclusively for tourism purposes. Key requirements include:

  • A passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay.

  • Confirmed return or onward travel ticket.

  • Proof of accommodation (e.g., hotel reservations).

  • Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay.

  • No adverse immigration record in the Philippines.

This provision is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another visa type. Entry is permitted through major international airports, secondary international hubs, and seaports, including those arriving via cruise ships.

30-Day Visa-Free Entry for AJACSSUK Visa or Residency Holders

Indian nationals holding valid visas or permanent residency permits from the following countriesโ€”Australia, Japan, America (USA), Canada, Schengen Area countries, Singapore, and the United Kingdom (collectively referred to as AJACSSUK)โ€”are eligible for a 30-day visa-free stay. Requirements include:

  • Possession of a valid and current visa or permanent residence permit from any of the AJACSSUK countries.

  • A passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay.

  • Confirmed return or onward travel ticket.

  • No negative history with Philippine immigration authorities.

Similar to the 14-day entry, this 30-day visa-free provision is non-extendable, cannot be converted into another visa type, and is strictly for tourism purposes.

Why This Matters

This policy shift is part of the Philippines' broader strategy to boost tourism and strengthen ties with India. In 2024, Indian tourist arrivals to the Philippines grew by over 60%, and officials are optimistic that the new visa-free policy will further fuel this upward trend.
